As we watch the Scarlet Knights week in and week out, we will continue to check in on the Knights of the future to track their success on the high school gridiron. The highlighted Class of 2018 commits will be listed in order of ranking, according to 247Sports. Here are how some of them performed this past weekend.
Isaih Pacheco - 3* Running Back, Vineland (NJ)
While Pacheco’s Vineland squad is out of playoff contention, the future Scarlet Knight running back wrapped up his senior campaign on a high note. In a 28-18 win over rival Millville, Pacheco carried the ball 23 times for 172 yards and four touchdowns on the day.

Jayden McDonald - 3* Outside Linebacker, North Gwinnett (GA)
McDonald was an unstoppable force yet again for North Gwinnett, leading his team to a 35-28 victory. A constant havoc in the backfield, McDonald picked up seven tackles for loss, including a whopping five(!) sacks.
Matthew Thomas - 3* Defensive End, Midwood (NY)
Thomas and his Midwood team got the best of future teammate Zihir Lacewell in the final game of their high school careers, edging out Tottenville by a final score of 36-34. On defense, Thomas was productive as usual, finishing the day with six tackles and one sack.
After his high school career came to a conclusion, Thomas had a refreshing message on Twitter, confirming his steadfast commitment to Rutgers.

Jalen Chatman - 3* Dual-Threat Quarterback, Narbonne (CA)
Chatman’s standout senior season continues as his team picked up a semi-final win over San Pedro, 48-14 to advance in the CIFLACS playoffs. The dual-threat QB completed 15 of 24 passes for 366 yards and two touchdowns. Chatman picked up 28 yards on the ground as well.

Jarrett Paul - 3* Cornerback, Paramus Catholic (NJ)
Zamir Mickens - 3* Defensive Back, St. Peters Prep (NJ)
Rutgers had a matchup of two future secondary mates face off this past weekend when Jarrett Paul and Paramus Catholic picked up a 42-19 semifinal victory over Zamir Mickens against St. Peter’s Prep. In the win, Paul racked up three tackles while holding the opposing offense to just 172 yards in the air. As for Mickens, the two-way player rushed six times for 60 yards on offense while registering five total tackles on defense.
Travon King - 3* Wide Receiver, Woodrow Wilson (NJ)
Travon King will be playing for a South Jersey Section Three State Championship this weekend after Woodrow Wilson picked up a 46-25 semi-final victory over Lakewood. In a game dominated on the ground, King only caught two passes for 24 yards.
Since his last game, King also picked up a big time accolade to round out his senior season.

Deion Jennings - 3* Cornerback, Timber Creek (NJ)
Timber Creek’s 2017 season came to a shocking conclusion in the Group 3 Semis, falling to Delsea 41-30. Jennings was all over the field on defense, racking up eight tackles on the day. Since his season concluded, Jennings got to spend some time with his future coaches on a home visit.
