Rutgers Football Lands a Big Fish in Artur Sitkowski

The 2018 Old Bridge QB flips from Miami to Rutgers

NCAA Football: Rutgers at Michigan Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The world of football recruiting is often a fickle beast. Players commit, then flip, then flip again and commit somewhere else. And, a lot of times, it feels like these high school students are all too often flipping away from Rutgers.

But for once, a big time recruit has flipped to the Scarlet Knights. 2018 QB Artur Sitkowski, a former Miami commit, took to Twitter tonight to delight the hearts and souls of Scarlet Knights fans.

According to the 247 page and Sitkowski’s Twitter note, Jerry Kill led the way on this recruitment. It’s a big one.

Sitkowski is a four star QB and the type of recruit who can bring in other big names. And with the brand new early signing period closing in for football, there’s a good chance Rutgers can lock him down for good.

In his highlight video, Sitkowski shows a strong arm, but also the ability to get around tackles and make a beeline for the endzone. This is definitely a huge pick up for the Scarlet Knights.

This commitment should have Rutgers fans flipping out.
