Men’s Soccer
While it’s been a tough year for the men’s team, individuals have had their moments to shine. After last week’s efforts against Maryland and Indiana, two RU defenders picked up awards.
Senior keeper David Greczek and defender Ross Tetro both earned weekly men’s soccer honors on Tuesday. Greczek was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, while Tetro was named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Team of the Week.

Women’s Soccer
Senior defender Erin Smith was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Team of the Week after leading the women (7-1-2, 2-0-1) to back-to-back shutouts against No. 21 Northwestern (10-1, 3-1) and Illinois (3-8-1, 0-3-1). Smith provided cover at the back for all 200 minutes played over the weekend and helped keep the opposition at bay. Northwestern and Illinois were held to seven shots and one shot on goal combined.
