Well, boys and girls, we made it! It is finally here, college football season. And our own Scarlet Knights take the field tomorrow against the Washington Huskies out in Seattle. In preparation for the event over the past 30 days, I’ve been counting it down by offering reasons for each day why it is great to be a Rutgers football fan.
No more waiting now. It is here! For some of the Big Ten Conference schools, it actually arrived last evening. Our friends out in Bloomington beat the FIU Panthers, and Minnesota beat the Oregon State Beavers. Tonight, Michigan State takes on mighty Furman in Lansing. But the “real season” begins tomorrow. By “real season” I mean the majority of the games in the lion’s share of conferences in the Power 5, the Group of Five, and FCS schools as well.
To help you make it until 2:00 tomorrow with the kickoff in Husky Stadium, here are the articles we shared with you over the past month. For those who can’t wait for a home game, these will have to hold you all until next week, when Rutgers has its home opener in the friendly confines of High Point Solutions Stadium.
I hope you enjoyed the series, and that it helped fill the gap until the season begins. Enjoy the upcoming season, and LET’S GO SCARLET KNIGHTS!
