Janarion Grant Named B1G Special Teams Player Of The Week

After his outstanding performance on Saturday, Janarion Grant was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week for his highlight reel return for a touchdown against Howard.

It was the fifth kickoff return that Grant has returned for a touchdown in his career. Grant also produced 249 all-purpose yards against Howard, the tenth time in his Rutgers career that he has surpassed 150 all-purpose yards in a game. He now sits fourth all-time in program history with 4,004 all-purpose yards.

Grant also had two rushing touchdowns to go along with the kickoff return, completing the first three-touchdown game of his career. To watch all of Grant’s scores from the Howard game, click here. Janarion “the Great” is easily the most valuable player on the entire roster.

Grant earned the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week Award for the fourth time of his career. Rutgers is hoping for many more this season from Grant! Congratulations Janarion!
