After his outstanding performance on Saturday, Janarion Grant was named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week for his highlight reel return for a touchdown against Howard.

It was the fifth kickoff return that Grant has returned for a touchdown in his career. Grant also produced 249 all-purpose yards against Howard, the tenth time in his Rutgers career that he has surpassed 150 all-purpose yards in a game. He now sits fourth all-time in program history with 4,004 all-purpose yards.
Grant also had two rushing touchdowns to go along with the kickoff return, completing the first three-touchdown game of his career. To watch all of Grant’s scores from the Howard game, click here. Janarion “the Great” is easily the most valuable player on the entire roster.
