It’s Finally Game Week for Rutgers Football. R U Ready?

The last Monday of the summer is at first glance a bummer for most. However, today marks the official start of the first game week of the Rutgers football season. Training camp is over and the team is preparing for this week’s opponent, #14/#18 Washington.

For those of you who are joining us for the first time or you just need a reminder, we are going to have plenty of Rutgers football coverage here at On The Banks this season. We are in full game prep mode as well and have a lot in store this week, doubling our efforts with game prep stories and season predictions for both players and the team.

We will have weekly in-season features like reviewing the depth chart, opponent and game previews, a statistical analysis preview, a Big Ten handicapping preview, Q&A’s with our SB Nation opponent blog sites, our staff predictions, game recaps, post-game analysis, recruiting updates and so much more. Of course, we will also have our game threads for every Rutgers game as well, so there is a forum for fans to interact, celebrate, and commiserate. Hopefully, its more celebrating than anything.

And we will have full coverage of all our Olympic sports this fall and winter as well. With a new regime in place within the athletic department, it is indeed an exciting time to be a Rutgers sports fan!
