Fan Appreciation Day For Rutgers Football Is Today

NCAA Football: Washington State at Rutgers Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Rutgers football is hosting fan appreciation day this afternoon between 3-5 p.m. at High Point Solutions Stadium. It is a free event for all Rutgers fans and a fun way to meet some of the players and coaches. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-80’s, so it will be much cooler than it was for last weekend’s open practice for fans.

There will be live music, interactive activities, inflatables for kids, and autographs with certain players. The autograph portion begins right at 3 p.m. There will also be an unveiling of the new dark knight uniforms that were announced earlier this week.

The athletic department will also be handing out the season poster for Rutgers Football to all fans who attend. This is a really well designed poster and borderline intimidating. Love it!

There will also be new merchandise for sale, giving fans an opportunity to stock up before the start of the season.

If you are going to Fan Appreciation Day, make sure to read the clear bag policy below. This will be in effect all season long.

And after this event, head over to watch the #10 Rutgers Women’s Soccer team, who have their home opener at Yurcak Field against Providence at 4 p.m. (Moved up due to weather). The women opened their season Friday with a convincing 4-1 win over Rider. There is also a promotion for tonight’s game, with hot dogs being sold for just $1 apiece.

It should be a great event and a tremendous day for families. There is a lot of reason to be positive heading into the 2016 football season, the first with Chris Ash as head coach. The BTN analysts continue to rave about the improved team they saw at practice. Even though Rutgers are heavy underdogs in their opening game at #18 Washington, a veteran team brings optimism into this season. Have fun today and enjoy being on the field and meeting coaches and players. A new era of Rutgers Football begins in less than two weeks!
