The U.S.' s Under 20 Women's National Soccer Team is heading to Papua New Guinea, and joining them is Rutger's own Casey Murphy.  The Junior Goalkeeper will be joining the team from May 21 through June 1 while the team participates in a test run for the 2016 FIFA Under 20 Women's World Cup which will take place in Papua New Guinea from November 13-December 3.

During this trip the U.S. is set to play two games, the first being against Japan on May 27, and the next against Papua New Guinea on May 30.  These games will take place in Port Moresby, the same location that the U-20 World Cup will take place.  When asked about the opportunity to get to play in Papua New Guinea before the World Cup Head Coach Michelle French said

"The trip to PNG will be a fantastic opportunity for our group to continue to learn how to acclimate, adapt and adjust to a new environment and culture prior to our arrival in November for the World Cup" -via US Soccer

This will not be the first time Murphy will be a part of the U-20 U.S. team.  She joined the team last year as well as in March when the team played in La Manga, Spain.  During this trip to Spain Murphy started in the game against England.  She recorded a save in the 1-0 shutout.

Murphy started every match for Rutgers last season, compiling 80 saves, while only allowing 10 goals all season.  She held a total of 19 shutouts.  She lead the NCAA in both shutout percentage and total, which led her to be named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year.

The U-20 World Cup will consist of 16 teams including, Canada, Mexico, USA, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Japan, Korea DPR, Korea Republic, Ghana, Nigeria, Sweden, Spain, Germany, France, Venezuela, and Brazil. These teams will be divided into 4 groups, the top two teams will advance to the Quarterfinals.  The Quarterfinals will take place on November 24 & 25, the Semifinals on November 29, and the Finals on December 3.

The matches were drawn on March 17, the U.S. will face France on November 14 , then New Zealand on November 17, and their final game in the group will be against Ghana on November 21.
