Wins are nice.
They're vital, they're critical, they define your program.
But so does recognition. And this spring Rutgers has done pretty well in that area.
This week, again, Rutgers finds itself on the receiving end of honors from the Big Ten.
Men's Lacrosse
For the fifth time this season, two or more RU players were recognized for their actions in the previous week's contests. For Bieda, it's his second award this season. There have only been two weeks out of the nine this season when there wasn't at least one RU player recognized.

Offensive Player of the Week
Scott Bieda, Rutgers, Sr. - A - Bridgewater-Raritan
- Scored three goals and added three assists en route to six points in the Scarlet Knights' win over nationally ranked Johns Hopkins in the conference opener for both teams
- Extended his point-scoring streak to 30 consecutive games and recorded at least three assists for the fourth time this season
- The 2014-15 Academic All-Big Ten selection earns his first career Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor
- Last Rutgers Offensive Player of the Week:The conference actually reported this as "N/A", despite the fact that Bieda actually won it previously this season, as did Jules Heningburg.
Freshman of the Week
Adam Charalambides, Rutgers, A - Georgetown, Ontario
- Scored four goals and added an assist in the Scarlet Knights' win over Johns Hopkins
- Recorded his fourth five-point game of the season
- Currently ranks second in the Big Ten with 2.90 goals per game
- Earns his seventh Big Ten Freshman of the Week plaudit and third straight
