Apparently Steve Pikiell "gives a crap" about what fans think, unlike his predecessor Eddie Jordan. In a move that has become commonplace under the leadership of athletic director Pat Hobbs, Pikiell sent an introductory/thank you letter to fans today. Aside from all that entails a basketball coach to be successful on the court, Hobbs now has the type of coach he wanted to be the face of the men's basketball program. The letter that was emailed will surely be the first of many attempts by Pikiell to change the dynamic between the team and loyal supporters of the program. Transparency, appreciation, and open communication will likely be traits of the Pikiell era under the direction of Hobbs. Despite any rumors, this letter did in fact go out to many.
Whoa, guys. @CoachPikiell just sent me an email. I'm sure it didn't go to anyone else. #Rhoops
