Rutgers Basketball: Issa Thiam Commits to Eddie Jordan and Rutgers

Eddie Jordan lands a much needed wing that can step in and play early.

Eddie Jordan is slowly filling his recruiting class.  And today, he got a much needed piece of the puzzle.

;

Issa Thiam, a 6'8' wing with a propensity to shoot the three and play defense, selected Rutgers over St. John's and Seton Hall.  While still a project, Thiam has a high upside.  Thiam comes out of the Canarias Basketball Academy out of the Canary Islands, an area often mined by Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard.

Rivals rates Thiam as a 3 star prospect. When in the US earlier for a tournament, Thiam showed a prominent three point shot and was noticed by several recruiting experts.

After the commitments of Maishe Dailey, Jahlil Tripp, and Thiam, Rutgers currently has one open scholarship.
