Rutgers does not have a “varsity” ice hockey program. But it does have a team, a club team that is pretty good.
Good enough to have a goalie invited to try out the United States Men's National University Team that will compete at the 2017 Winter World University Games from Jan. 29-Feb. 8, 2017, in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Goalie Chris Marsillo, a junior, is one of three goaltenders competing for two spots on the team.

Rutgers is not often represented on the world stage; this is an opportunity for just such a possibility.
Good luck, Chris.
