Game Preview

This is a big game tonight, no doubt. Throw the records and stats out the window, this is going to be a tight, emotional game for obvious reasons. It’s not just head coach Steve Pikiell who is returning home for this game. Rutgers has benefited from the group that came aboard with Pikiell, while his former team has struggled in their absence. Even so, the core of Stony Brook’s rotation played multiple seasons for him and they will be focused. A win tonight by Rutgers will be no easy task and would be a solid step forward in the progress for this team. Sadly, this game is not on television, it is only being streamed online by ESPN3 or broadcast on the radio. Link for streaming and radio info is at the top of this post.

As I said in the game preview, Rutgers needs to defend the three, contain point guard Lucas Woodhouse, pound the paint, and most importantly, maintain their poise. I’d be lying if I wasn’t nervous for this one. Buckle up and let’s go RU!
