Coach Ash was not happy. He knows he needs to get the team ready better than he has. He plans on getting back to work tomorrow to work toward Illinois. I am sure Ash knows that this looks really bad on him and I think it is fair to say he will try a completely different approach next week. Getting outscored 136-0 in two games is unacceptable.
Ash also says he feels really bad for all of the kids as they have kept a great attitude through both games. There are some bumps and bruises, but nothing too significant. He did say Laviano is not injured so it seems he got sick of his lackluster performances. Ash also acknowledged that their depth is being tested, and it is clear that there is not much there.
Overall, Coach is not happy. No coach in their right mind would be. But, as a good coach would, he is sticking to the process and keep grinding and #keepchopping.
Homecoming is next week against a former and pretty accomplished NFL coach. Hopefully we can actually win a homecoming game and get some morale back on this team and in the fan base.
