There is an Open Quarterback Competition

Drew Mehringer speaks to the media

Offensive Coordinator Drew Mehringer got prett emotional speaking to the media after Rutgers’ 24-7 homecoming loss. He made mention that there is an open quarterback competition.

Some may have been able to guess that themselves by the fact that Laviano has gotten pulled relatively early the past few games for Zach Allen last week and Giovanni Rescigno today.

Allen went up against some really tough competition so his numbers are not that great but Rescigno had a pretty solid showing today against Illinois.
