Senior Linebacker Greg Jones had a scary moment this afternoon. In the first quarter against Ohio State, Jones had a helmet-to-helmet hit with another Rutgers player while attempting a tackle. Jones almost immediately fell to the turf and was hardly moving.
We were able to see some movement in his hands and legs, and there was word that he was responsive, but he had his face mask removed and was strapped to a stretcher and carted off the field into an ambulance.
Rutgers Football, Big Ten Network, and ESPN all say Jones has been further responsive in the hospital, making the situation more hopeful.
