After being burned by Kwe Parker in November, it's been a slog for Eddie Jordan to try and land a player for his next class. He may have finally broken through.
Abraham Lincoln HS Jahlil Tripp @J_Tripp23 will commit today to Rutgers at Jefferson game #Bigten #RHoops #PSAL #NYCBasketball (per Source)
— Stacey Davis (@NYCHoopsnball) January 9, 2016
Tripp is a 6'5" shooting guard, who will likely be one of the players to fill a spot vacated by Bishop Daniels and Omari Grier. Tripp had offers from Quinnipiac, Manhattan, UNC-Wilmington, and Fairfield, per Rivals and 247. Tripp was beginning to get interest from St. John's, Minnesota and Seton Hall as well. At one point, high majors were taking a look at Tripp, but he was tragically shot during a girl's basketball game at his high school in 2013.
Also visiting today, officially, is 6'5" wing Maishe Dailey. Dailey has a ton of Big Ten interest, but-apparently-no official offers yet from any team in conference besides Rutgers.
