It's been quite a Wednesday evening for Chris Ash and Rutgers football, as just hours after QB Tylin Oden announced his commitment to the Scarlet Knights, Timber Creek OLB Tyreek Williams has reportedly done the same.
Williams is listed as a three-star recruit on 247Sports, where he is also ranked the 37th overall prospect in the state of New Jersey.
Boom...Another one in the boat!Excited about this one! #AshEra

The addition of Williams comes just days after he decommitted from Buffalo, where he was a part of the Bulls' recruiting class since last August. Ash and his staff made an immediate push to keep the Sicklervile native in the Garden State, offering him soon after he parted ways with Buffalo. Williams has an official visit to Rutgers scheduled for this weekend, but evidently felt confident enough in his decision to pull the trigger before his trip to campus.
Williams is the fifth linebacker to pledge to the Scarlet Knights, joining Jonathan Pollock, Solomon Manning, Rashawn Battle and Elorm Lumor. The 15th overall member of the incoming recruiting class, Williams is the fifth commit brought in by Ash's staff, and the fourth since Sunday.
