Rutgers Bye Week: What do you want to see?

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday officially kicked off Rutgers' first and only bye week of the 2015 season. The Scarlet Knights will have two weeks to prepare for the #2 ranked Michigan State Spartans. The Knights and Spartans will face off under the lights of "Corporate Company Ruining Traditional Stadium Name" Stadium in the annual blackout game. We will have nearly two weeks of Scarlet Knights coverage for you before there is even another game.

A couple of things to address as the bye week gets under way:

The Rumor Mill

Obviously there have been rumors afloat about Kyle Flood's job status. People have been talking on Facebook about how Kyle Flood may get fired before the Michigan State game. I urge you all to not worry about those rumors for two reasons:

1. It would make absolutely NO sense in any way, shape, or form to fire him in the middle of a suspension in which he has done nothing but keep his head down.

2. It's Facebook, let's be real.

Recruiting

As expected, it has been a very quiet past few weeks on the recruiting trail. The Rutgers staff is 100% focused on this season while the recruits are focused on their high school seasons. This is the way it is all over the country and there is no reason to worry about the lack of news. We will also have a recruiting update later this week to cover anything that has happened recently.

Basketball!

Hoops season starts in a little over a month! Dave and Aaron will have some updates and the excitement builds for hopefully a successful 2015-16 campaign!

Leonte Carroo

Carroo's court date in October 1st, and things could be looking up for him. His lawyer states that the claims against him were false and he is innocent. There is also cell phone video that shows what looks to be Carroo running in to the altercation to try to get his girlfriend out. However, we will nothing for sure until Thursday, at the earliest.
