If there was any thought of Carli Lloyd resting on her laurels since becoming an international soccer star and gold medalist this past summer, fans of this Rutgers alumna can rest easy after her dominant performance this past weekend.
While playing on the USWNT's tour of international friendlies, Lloyd scored three goals against Haiti in Detroit on Thursday. Three days later, she added another hat trick to her resume, all in the first half, leading the US's 8-0 Haitian annihilation in Birmingham.
Lloyd is on an unstoppable streak of international play, the likes of which we may have never seen before from any former Rutgers athlete, period. She has scored 31 goals since the beginning of last year, 14 of them coming in her last 8 matches. With her back-to-back hat tricks, she became the third player ever to accomplish such a feat, joining Mia Hamm in 1998 and Cindy Parlow in 2000.
GOAL! Carli Lloyd heads home a corner to pick up a hat trick for the #USWNT vs. Haiti. 4-0 with just under 20 to go. http://t.co/EwG8Mq7L4Y

The USWNT team continue their victory tour on October 21st and 25th, when they face a tough opponent in the Brazilian women coming off a disappointing World Cup performance. We can all expect some more exciting highlights displayed by Lloyd in the weeks to come!
