On of the top kickers in the country, Alex Barbir, South Forsythe (GA), has committed to Rutgers. Barbir was the number one proirity at kicker and Kyle Flood sealed the deal on the Georgia stud.

Barbir is the 17th player committed in the 2016 class and fills a huge need. Kyle Federico will graduate after this season and no one else on the roster has proven to be a worthy replacement. The hope is that Barbir will be the starter the moment he steps on campus.

Barbir has a massive leg, which he displayed for the Rutgers staff during the specialists camp where he earned an offer after a dominating performance. His kick power was also put on display when he kicked a 71-yarder and posted it on Twitter for the world to see.

Barbir has a chance to be an impact player at Rutgers and be just as valuable as Jeremy Ito was back in his prime. It has been a long time since Rutgers fans have had a truly reliable kicker and Barbir has a chance to be just that. Welcome to the F.A.M.I.L.Y. Alex!
