Commit Alert! OL Malcom Pridgeon

. . . In which Kyle Flood silences his critics (well probably for an hour or so anyway).

Oh, hell yes.

A man-mountain with an equally behemoth list of offers just pulled the trigger for the Scarlet Knights.

Scarlet Knights fans, meet Malcom Pridgeon, a 6'8" 300 lb offensive tackle from Nassau Community College on Long Island.  Now, give him your lunch money.  Just kidding.

Pridgeon received a Rutgers offer out of high school, but did not qualify.  He will graduate from Nassau next spring, before joining the Scarlet Knights. He selected Rutgers over a number of national powers.  247 lists offers from, among others: Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue, Syracuse (don't forget, they are New York's team LOLZ), Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Check out big #79 in the video below. The man finishes blocks with malicious intent, and his footwork is sound for a big guy. This is an exciting pick up - the star rankings don't necessarily apply the same way to JUCOs, but I won't argue if you want to count Mr. Pridgeon as a 4* talent. Enjoy Scarlet Knights fans - looks like we could be in for a fun weekend of raiding NYC for talent.
