Omari Ray Grier, a shooting guard from Bradley University, announced his intention to transfer to Rutgers on Twitter this afternoon:
Excited to be a part of the Rutgers family for my graduate year! Anxious to see what God has in store for this next chapter in my life! #RU

Grier is a graduate transfer and is eligible to play next season. As I mentioned earlier today regarding Corey Sanders, Rutgers needed to improve depth. You can read Jerry Carino's breakdown here. He was a part-time starter at Bradley where he averaged 23 minutes and 7.9 points a game. He shot 34 for 103 from 3-point range (31.8%) and 38% from the floor overall last season. This will be Grier's 3rd school as he played his freshman year at Florida Atlantic. His career average from 3-point range is 34.3% and his complete career stats can be seen here.
The next question is whose scholarship will Grier be taking as Rutgers is at the limit of thirteen already. Carino speculates that a current commit will not be enrolling, thus opening a spot for Grier. For now we will wait and see. Adding an experienced shooter to the roster for next season should be a welcomed addition!
Update:
Per Jerry Carino, it is redshirt freshman Ryan Johnson who is transferring out. Kerwin Okoro transferred out earlier this spring, leaving incoming freshman Jonathan Laurent as the only wing player left on the team. The roster is now back to thirteen scholarship players. I will be breaking down the incoming recruiting class and current roster in the days to come.
