I confess.
I didn't have faith.
Certainly not third round faith.
But Tyler Kroft was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 85th overall pick, becoming the first Knight to be drafted in 2015. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco gave the Bengals a B+ on the pick, saying,
They [Bengals] have Tyler Eifert coming off an injury and Jermaine Gresham is gone. Getting another tight end is something they needed to do. This kid has some ability to get down the field.
Kroft was pegged as the sixth best TE in the draft by NFLDraftScout.com. He was, in fact, the fourth TE chosen (third from the B1G) behind Michigan's Devin Funchess (#41 by Carolina), Minnesota's Maxx Williams (#55 by Baltimore), and Miami's Clive Walford (#68 by Oakland).
He joins former Scarlet players Mo Sanu, Clark Harris, and Kevin Brock on the Bengals' roster. Kroft was named to the Mackey Award watch list last season when he averaged 20.7 yards per reception.
