After checking out what the Wolverines have to offer, Jarius Adams decided he'd much rather be a Scarlet Knight. The athletic defensive back from Palm Beach Gardens Florida announced today that he's staying committed to his Rutgers pledge.

Adams originally committed to play for Kyle Flood this past summer in July, but his recruitment heated up once Jim Harbaugh was hired as Michigan head coach. The former 49er HBC subsequently targeted Adams and rolled out the red carpet for his visit, even going as far to say that he could play immediately for the Wolverines. Adams stayed loyal to his commitment to RU, however, and he will join a solid defensive back class for 2015.
Here is what resident recruiting guru Andy Egan said about Jarius Adams back in the summer when he originally committed:
Adams' highlight tape shows impressive "suddenness" and the ability to close on a target in a hurry. He is also good at staying in a receiver's hip pocket to make pays on the ball, and is a hard-hitting open field tackler in run support or coverage of short-range pass plays.
This is the second "commitment" in the last 48 hours for Rutgers, as they received a pledge from IL OT Jack Shutack late Monday night. Welcome to the Banks Jarius!
