Amidst the craziness of college football, there was another eventful weekend in the NFL season. Week 13 saw some standout performances from Knights in the NFL, honorable award nominations, and the sharing of some family traditions!
Brandon Coleman
Coleman was the beneficiary of Willie Snead's absence Sunday in the Superdome, as Drew Brees looked his way seven times. Coleman hauled in four catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. One catch in particular was extremely impressive, as Coleman used his 6'6 body that had Saints fans salivating during training camp, as he went up and made a leaping catch on third-and-8. After eluding a defender, Coleman ran for a 31 yard gain. He also caught his second touchdown of the season, as Panthers DB Josh Norman was caught peeking at the line of scrimmage. Coleman's performance earns him the Scarlet MVP of Week 13!

The Patriots Defense
Jonathan Freeny (5), Logan Ryan (3), Duron Harmon (3), and Devin McCourty (7) combined for 18 tackles on Sunday. Despite solid play from Rutgers' four former stars, New England fell to Philadelphia for their second straight loss. However, when asked by reporters, McCourty was not willing to blame injuries for their losses. In other McCourty news, Devin was nominated by his teammates for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for his contribution to New England-area education initiatives and the NFL's Play 60 program. Congratulations, Devin!
