Norries Wilson: Thank You

Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

Thank you, Norries Wilson,

For stepping up to the plate when when of your closest friends messed up and having his back through it all.

Thank you for serving the University with the utmost class, integrity, and respect.

Even though the past 4 weeks resulted in a 1-2 record, it was nothing unexpected. This was a bad situation for everyone involved and one can only expect so much from an interim head coach who has 2 of his 3 games in primetime against top teams in the B1G East.

There was the good:

There was the bad:

And then there was this:

However, it is incredibly refreshing to witness a head coach be so direct and honest with reporters. This is a trend across the country that Rutgers did not fall victim to in the past month. For that, I commend you.

The ending of the Michigan State game was strange and bad in many ways. However, I have nothing but respect for you and the way you handled the situation.

It takes a special kind of coach and man to take full responsibility like that. I don't think I will ever witness a better postgame presser than this:

Norries, thank you for the memories you provided us with and we will always be grateful for what you have done for the great state of Rutgers.

Sincerely,
