Saturday is huge for Rutgers. As Kyle Flood likes to say, "first impressions matter in life," and Rutgers first B1G game, and first prime-time BTN game, is as big an opportunity to make a splashy first impression as you are likely to find anywhere. Saturday is also critically important in the recruiting wars, which never stop.
Only the home team is allowed to invite recruits to a game, and Rutgers has not squandered that opportunity for unilateral contact with recruits, many of whom ttfp is also pursuing. Here is the list of prospects Rutgers expects to host at the big game. Just about every blue-chipper in the northeast will be on the Banks for the B1G show, including 2 5* players (Kareem Walker and Rashan Gary), and at least 5 more Rivals top-100 guys from the 2016 class (Naseir Upshur, Ahmir Mitchell, Dwayne Haskins, Jr., Ron Johnson and Jordan Fuller)
