It's mid-June, and Eddie Jordan has yet to hire an assistant coach--though he swears he'll have one in place before July 1st. But that doesn't mean the head coach hasn't been busy.
After hosting PG prospect John Crosby on a visit last week, the Scarlet Nation waits to see if the perfect fit will commit... or decide to stay home and prep a year.
Meanwhile, teams have started contacting a lot of talent and trying to get them on campus. Rutgers included.

According to Rivals, Nakye's also received some interest from Penn State, VCU and Minnesota.
2016 G Ty Jerome of Iona Prep visits Temple Wednesday and Rutgers Thursday. Rhody, Hofstra and Fordham next week, per Chris Alesi of New Hts

Jerome is a shooter as well, and will probably blow up this summer, if he hasn't already.
2016 Khalil Richard of St. Frances (MD) will take an unofficial to #Rutgers this week per head coach Nick Myles. Hard-nosed scoring guard.

Jordan is clearly trying to load up on guards.
2017 Team Final (PA) guards D’Andre Vilmar, Lonnie Walker & Quade Green are at Rutgers today.

Getting a foothold in Philadelphia would be nice, and having a group of Team Final would be a great start.
Rutgers recently offered 2015 Team Final (PA) SG Levan Alston, as first reported by @HarrisonSports1.

2015 Nate Grimes is hearing from Nebraska, Purdue, Penn St, Iowa & Rutgers

While most of these players are a few years off, Jordan is doing his best to try and lay down some recruiting pipelines. NC, DC, NY and Baltimore have been the most recently locations, but Jordan is trying to get into the South Jersey area as well.
A commitment from John Crosby this week, coinciding with an assistant coach hire would do a lot to build some excitement for the program as the Big Ten Countdown Clock ticks toward zero.
