Hoops Commit Alert! KeJuan Johnson Commits to Rutgers

The 6'6" wing will help fill an area of weakness next year.

Rutgers needs length, and today they got it, by landing Hargrave Military's KeJuan Johnson--a 6'6", 200 pound swing guard.

Johnson, along with dead eye shooting guard Justin Goode, visited Rutgers over the weekend.  Johnson commented on Twitter that it was a great visit.  He thanked both Van Macon and Eddie Jordan.  ESPN says Johnson has the ability to get to the rim and finish through contact.  He appears to be a very strong player who can attack off the dribble.  If Jordan wants to continue to push the pace, Johnson will fit right in..  Across all the recruiting sites, he was a consensus 3 star player.

Johnson fills a need for Rutgers if he can play both guard and wing.  With Ryan Johnson only partially eligible, and Johnson slotting in next year, it allows him to play either the 2 guard or wing, while Junior Etou can slot in at power forward or wing as well.  Johnson has the same ability to play guard or wing.

On Twitter, Jerry Carino said that Goode was expected to decide soon.

Here is some dated video of KeJuan:
