Rutgers Football Recruiting Commit Alert! Mohamed Jabbie

Rutgers positive mojo coming off the Michigan victory continues, as Kyle Flood picked up the third commit in the 2016 class, South Brunswick's Mohamed Jabbie.

There's no way THIS guy could have gone somewhere other than Rutgers right? Middlesex County, within a twenty minute drive from the stadium? Check. Close relationship with a bunch of other Rutgers commits? Check. Nephew of one of the most celebrated Scarlet Knights in the history of the program? CHECK.

Welcome to the Banks, Mr. Mohamed Jabbie! The South Brunswick native committed to the hometown Scarlet Knights, and became the player to commit to Rutgers class of 2016, and the second this weekend.

Jabbie is a 6' 170 lb. WR/DB, who will most likely play WR at Rutgers. Like his uncle, Scarlet Knight legend Mohamed Sanu.

Todderick Hunt got some terrific insight from Jabbie, which you can read here:

What else was it about Rutgers that made Jabbie select to stay home?

"Everything, I knew I was going there from the jump," he said. "I loved it. That game when they beat Michigan, the atmosphere was crazy and I just loved every single part of it. So I had to. I had to let go now.

"And the coaching staff. I love every single one of the coaches. They are amazing. Plus, the atmosphere and the players. I have a lot of good friends who are on that team. I just wanted to stay home."

Jabbie is very popular among New Jersey and Rutgers recruits, and he has a number of friends in the 2015 class, including his future QB Mike Dare and TE Nakia Griffin. Twitter went crazy with players congratulating him on his commitment to the Scarlet Knights.
