She led her team to the Metropolitan Championships. In the process, she took a first at the meet. For her effort, Paige Senatore earned Rutgers' first Athlete of the week honors for Cross Country.
Senatore won the Mets with a time of 18:19.4. She was among five Scarlet Knights that placed in the top 10 and eight who captured top 20 times in the race. Since 1993, Rutgers has had 10 runners take first at the championships.
She joins Casey Murphy and Madison Tiernan from Women's Soccer in earning Big Ten weekly awards this week.
