Sorry about the ghost town around here since the game recap, I've been dealing with some things in my non-OTB life. Lots of news items have hit the internet since the Fresno State game, so let's get to it:
Norfolk State Prep Work
Here is the helmet to go along with the white uniforms that the Scarlet Knights will don this Saturday:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Here is this week's white helmet. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23ChopNorfolk&src=hash">#ChopNorfolk</a> <a href="http://t.co/d5Qn4en97C">pic.twitter.com/d5Qn4en97C</a></p>— Rutgers Football (@RFootball) <a href="https://twitter.com/RFootball/statuses/374548820451139584">September 2, 2013</a></blockquote>

Color me unimpressed. I actually like it when teams do special things for certain games, but I'm a little disappointed with this offering. The white paint job is very plain, and the chrome block "R" is rather bland as well. I was hoping the R would be scratched like the regular chrome helmets, but these are no-frills. No big deal, as long as the players and the recruits are happy, that is all that matters.
Rutgers' Paul James named starting RB for Saturday's game vs. Norfolk State | NJ.com
Tom Luicci of the Star-Ledger reports that Paul James, who rushed for over 180 yards against Fresno State, has overtaken Savon Huggins as the lead back for Norfolk State.

Matt Sugam of SNY reports that the electrifying freshman will be the punt returner for Norfolk State.
Kenneth Kirksey suspended for Norfolk State game | SNY Rutgers
It's Al Page's time baby! Matt Sugam announces Kirksey's suspension, which should mean more opportunities for the other DTs on the depth chart.

Here's the latest injury report for Norfolk State.
Player News
Rutgers defensive linemen Myles Jackson and Jamil Pollard’s careers cut short | SNY Rutgers
The Scarlet Knights immediately took a hit to defensive line depth with the announcement that Jamil Pollard and Myles Jackson will no longer play football. Rutgers will really be tested for talent depth, as players like Al Page will have a great opportunity to make an impression.
Rutgers' Darius Hamilton takes responsibility for unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, says not reflective of him | NJ.com
Mike Vorkunov of the Star-Ledger talks about Darius Hamilton's phantom penalties against Fresno State. It's nice of Hamilton to own up to his mistakes, but it's really not necessary in my opinion. If the officials are going to call that, they should have called plenty of other penalties on Bulldog players for taunting.
Savon Huggins still expects to get opportunities in a two-back system | Scarlet Scuttlebutt
A tip of the cap to Savon Huggins, who is keeping his head high after being overtaken by walk-on Paul James for the home opener this Saturday.
Tom Savage Returns to College Football
Whether you've kept tabs on him since he left Rutgers or you want nothing do with him, the college football world was all atwitter regarding Savage until Jameis Winston went all video-game mode on the Panthers. Here are some tweets from Monday's game:
