Cincinnati Week

Rutgers can make a major splash in the American standings with a win against the Bearcats.

David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

Will Rutgers carry the momentum from the dramatic victory against Temple through the end of the season? Bowl eligibility is still up in the air, but if the Knights can get the win on Saturday, it'll not only guarantee a berth in the postseason, but it will show that Flood's team is improving after a couple of demoralizing losses. Cincinnati is always one of the tougher matchups each year, and outside of a bizarre loss to USF, the Bearcats look like a truly formidable team, and a darkhorse conference title contender.

The Scarlet Knights have a two game winning streak against Cincinnati after five straight losses, starting with the upset in 2006 after Pandemonium. Brendon Kay is having a decent year at QB, keeping the Bearcats in every game this season, minus the Illinois loss. This is the penultimate home game this season, and it doesn't seem like USF will be a great draw, so let's get the Point rocking on Saturday.
