With the summer rolling in, recruiting for Mike Rice has turned toward the 2013 class. Plenty of rumors are coming to light and I'll do my best to share them with you. Scuttlebutt has it Rice and co are expecting a HUGE haul with their 3 open scholarships.

--So far, Rutgers has joined the race (and is making a big push) for guard Jaren Sina, according to Alex Kline, of The Recruit Scoop.

--The big target of the class is forward Jermaine Lawrence. Adam Zagoria says his top three are Rutgers, Syracuse and Florida. Meanwhile, the The Big East report said Rutgers was Lawrence's favorite. At least that was the rumor. But Kline states there isn't even a Top Ten yet. This is one to keep an eye on.

--Zagoria (you'll see his name a lot) also reports that St. Anthony G Josh Brown has re-opened his recruitment. Rutgers has reached out.

--Meanwhile, Kris Jenkins, Rondae Jefferson, Shep Garner, and Malachi Richardson have have all been on campus recently.

Clearly Rutgers is putting on the full court press as they try to build a Big East powerhouse class to support the Magnificent Seven already on campus.
