Rutgers football recruiting update for the week of 6/7

Committed Players

SA-VONNNNN is one of five incoming freshmen who enrolled last week. The rest are still a ways away for now.

That's two Meet of Champions victories in a row for Miles Shuler.

Carlton Agudosi and Desmon Peoples recently attended a combine in Camden.

PA OL Frank Taylor will pick from RU, BC, MSU, and Harvard tomorrow.

Uncommitted Players

So much for Wayne Morgan's supposed silent verbal to Michigan. They're getting DB commits left and right now too. Michigan fans all of a sudden have done a complete 180 and now don't think Morgan will land there.

Hope RU doesn't finish second to PSU for PA OL Chris Muller.

While the offer total approaches 20, Muller believes that Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia and South Carolina are the four schools that have really turned up their efforts recently.

FL ATH Faton Bauta isn't mentioning RU much.

VA DE Ken Ekanem has a lot of offers.

The SEC's new oversigning restrictions aren't perfect, but they're a start that should do quite a bit to curb abuses. Can South Carolina just go away now?

While we're on the subject, one of FSU's seven OL signees already transferred.

Watchlist: This is a section of this site's weekly recruiting posts featuring links to players that Rutgers may or may not be showing interest in, but has not yet offered.

Marcell Lazard, Abner Logan, Robert Mahon, Ryan Morris, Bret Niederreither, Jahmahl Pardner, and Nate Smith.
