Paul Canevari to Rutgers

Don Bosco fullback Paul Canevari has verballed to the Scarlet Knights. With Rutgers switching back to a pro-style offense, Canevari will help add depth behind senior Edmond Laryea, a question mark in Robert Joseph, and walk-on Michael Burton (tight end Paul Carrezola has played the position as well). Another question is whether offering Canevari signifies a warm relationship between Rutgers and Don Bosco. In the past, when Rutgers would send out late offers, they'd always seem to go to programs like Hackensack, St. Joe's, Union, and Piscataway that usually sent their best prospects to Rutgers. Between Canevari, Gary Nova, and adding Jeff Hafley as an assistant coach, it will be a big disappointment if Rutgers doesn't do very well with Bosco's loaded 2012 junior class.
