Befuddling

As per Jerry Carino, Jim Carr is switching roles to be the basketball program's recruiting coordinator, with Craig Carter resuming his position as an assistant coach. As anyone following Carr on Twitter knows, he's not only on the road a lot for recruiting, but his son is battling a terrible illness at the moment.

My only question is why this move couldn't have happened originally, to save the program all the negative publicity from originally demoting Carter, wherein subsequently a lot of top metro recruits dropped Rutgers (well, they probably weren't coming anyway) off their lists entirely. There was speculation that Hill originally did want to demote Carr instead, but I don't know enough about the story to comment.

Still, seems like we could have saved a lot of headaches. The new proposed rotation system is another puzzler.
