Mystery solved, deepens

Oh boy, that Luicci piece about Sanu from last night was something else, right?

Anyway, I don't usually post on the weekend, but this was too good not to share.

UCLA and Rutgers were in negotiations to play in the 2010 season opener at Giants Stadium, but the deal crumbled when Kansas State decided to remain on the Bruins' 2010 schedule. UCLA opens in Manhattan, Kan., next season.

So...did this predate the Tulane series, or would it have involved dropping Norfolk or another game? Kansas State, I hate you so very much right now. Our friends in Westwood continue to have loose lips, and as a result everyone knows (slightly) more about the athletic department's willingness to play in East Rutherford.

My hope is that the football program continues to pursue upgrading the schedule over the next five years. This possibility shouldn't completely float away into the ether, like that Targum article from yesterday that spilled too much.
