Does Greg Schiano have a history of jumping victory formations? It's hard to say - Schiano claimed that it's worked four times at Rutgers, but none immediately came to mind. Certainly there's never been any sort of hullabaloo about this before. Our basketball writer Dave White however remembered the end of the UNC game last year where this happened. I then tracked down a YouTube clip of UNC QB Bryn Renner talking about it, claiming that Rutgers supposedly jumped offsides on that play. The relevant section starts at 2:15. In fact, no reporters even asked Schiano about the play at the post-game presser. I had trouble even remembering this occurred; clearly, it was seen as a total non-issue. A decade's worth of NewsBank results similarly found jack squat. Unless anyone wants to volunteer to read through eleven years of game logs, the veracity of the four games claim will remain undetermined. Whether it was the right move or not, people need to quit it by claiming that this was an attempt to cheap shot or injure Eli Manning. Of course not. Plain and simple, Schiano was trying to force a fumble. Update: collective internet sleuthing has found the three other fumbles. They were against Pitt and WVU in 2009, and Maryland in 2007. Give Schiano all the hell you want, but he told the truth.

A 2015 stud RB from Florida with the last name, Scarlett? This kid was made to wear a Rutgers jersey. Let's hope that Flood and Wilson can convince him of that. I'd love to see him in a Scarlet Knights uni in a few years and not just for the purposes of irony, he seriously looks like he can play. http://rivals.yahoo.com/rutgers/football/recruiting/player-Jordan-Scarlett-131773 I wonder if he has any idea how nice it is up in New Jersey?
