I thought about this as a full article. But then I thought it really wasn't about Rutgers or sports. Or is it?
Anyway, Bob Braun, long time columnist for the Ledger and now out there writing independently, tweeted today that the Ledger was moving its operations out of the city it has been in since its founding and moving to Rutgers' backyard, Edison and Woodbridge. Braun isn't happy that the paper he once worked for has abandoned "its" city. Maybe it is a sign of a more serious issue with newspapers and our cities. Hey, the "New Brunswick" paper, the Home News Tribune, hasn't had operations in New Brunswick in years, and it recently moved its offices from East Brunswick to Somerville. That consolidates the Gannett operations of the Home News Tribune and the Courier News in one place. Changing times.
