Rutgers Runner a Fulbright Scholar

Joe Murphy

We keep talking about the academics at RU and that includes its athletes. Here's one who truly stood out.

This past academic year, Rutgers had the third highest number of Fulbright Scholars of any school in the nation.  More than any B1G school except Michigan.  One of those scholars was Women's Track and Field distance runner Rashmi Singh.  She was named a 2014-15 Malaysia Fullbright Scholar.

The English major from Flemington was one of seven members of the Women's Cross Country team that earned Division I All-Academic status. More good stuff about RU and athletics that needs to be shared.
