OK, it isn't Nebraska or Iowa. But New Jersey does alright for itself in popular fruits and vegetables. No, we don't have ginormous farms like the fly-over states. But New Jersey - and Rutgers does have an agricultural side, land grant fans - ranks quite nicely for a number of farm products.
Blueberries - #3 nationally; peaches - #3 (take that we-hate-the-SEC-Georgia); cranberries and spinach - #3.
And please don't forget the Rutgers tomato.
