Is it the light at the end of the tunnel?

Or just a train coming at us? The soap opera continues with the following from Tom Luicci at the Star Ledger:

Julie Hermann’s hopes of getting an early start on her new job as Rutgers athletic director have been put on hold without explanation. The Star-Ledger has learned that Rutgers officials postponed a series of meetings Hermann was scheduled to be part of late next week on campus.

Those meetings were to coincide with a visit by Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany as part of Rutgers’ welcome to their soon-to-be conference home, the people said. Delany is still expected to visit Rutgers.

Truthfully, I thought she had more than adequate credentials to do the job. But her actions in responding to accusations, along with the shoddy vetting and recruitment process (ok, let's throw in the Kate Sweeney hijacking operation) make her virtually untenable for the position.

Interesting that the meetings were supposed to be when Delany was to be on campus.
