Multiple football position changes announced

+

Coach Flood announced three position changes at practice today. 1. Dave Milewski is moving from MLB to DE. This is not a surprise at all in the sense that Milewski was always seen as a strong candidate to grow into a DE. However, the team's depth is far better at DE than MLB, and Milewski was on the two-deep last year. Who the heck is going to sit on the bench among Glaud, Larrow, Thompson, Merrell, Booker, etc??? Could any of the other guys be moving elsewhere? 2. Ben Martin is moving to corner from RB. This is not a surprise, as Martin was touted as a future DB from the moment he signed, if only because he was part of the same class as Savon Huggins. Walk-on Paul James reportedly impressing makes the choice easy. 3. Robert Joseph is switching from FB to LB. The team needed more depth at LB after Milewski's switch, and Joseph isn't as big as Mike Burton or Sam Bergen. Now the question becomes whether Joseph will ever see the field at LB. All in all, none of these three changes are that surprising.
