Zags Says Iona Transfer Kyle Smyth Has Interest in RU

+

Smyth would be a 5th year transfer and have immediate eligibility. He's 6'4", and known as a very good shooter. He seems to fit the mold of what Mike Rice is looking to use Gil Biruta's scholarship for. A 3 point shooter from the wing would open things up for the offense. It would create more room for Seagears to penetrate and dish to either Myles Mack or Eli Carter (or Smyth) from beyond the arc. It would allow Dane Miller to slide to the 4 at times and Smyth could also back up the guards. With Malick Kone and Mike Poole healthy, Smyth would just offer Mike Rice more options. Smyth is also interested in Boston College, Seton Hall, and New Hampshire. In other news, there has been no word on Vincent Garrett's (another wing with a shot) visit to RU this weekend yet.
