Rob Spence: probably the new WR coach
Kyle Flood's quest to reunite every coach who remotely has ties to Hofstra continues, as former Syracuse/Clemson/Bethune-Cookman OC Rob Spence is reportedly the new WR coach at Rutgers. Spence, like a lot of the rest of the staff, has decent local ties, and also has some position coach experience at Temple and Maryland.
Spence's tenures at Cuse and Clemson did not garner favorable reviews, but being a position coach is a far bit easier than calling plays, so there is no reason to see this as anything other than another solid hire. Flood seems to be going after singles and doubles, so it remains to be seen if he will really go for a home run with the two jobs left to fill (along with two GAs.)
Update: a different report says Spence is the QB coach.

Not a good hire
I Am not happy with the offensive hires other than the O line coach this year. I hope I’m wrong but these two Brock and Spence look awful. These hires remind me of political appoIntments.
