Rutgers alma mater again in crosshairs
Two years after a similar bill failed, and a year after Rutgers studied the issue and failed to act, New Jersey legislators are again trying to get the school to change the lyrics to its alma mater. At least, this time, they're not trying to add an awkward looking "NJ" to the logo.
What's really astounding about this story is that the Rutgers student government is capable of understanding a concept like artistic license, but that apparently is foreign to our state representatives, who can never miss an opportunity to meddle with Rutgers except of course, when it comes to cutting fnding.
