Kenny Britt was initially being charged with resisting arrest, evidence tampering, and obstruction, but the charges have now been reduced to disorderly persons.

This is critical example of why it is not fair to pre-judge any legal situation before a case actually makes it in to court. Charges are trumped all the time - for leverage against a defendant, or just to give the prosecutor leeway. Like all of the other allegations against Britt, this incident has evaporated into the ether. He certainly needs to be more careful in the future, but the hysteria of the past few months has proven greatly exaggerated.
