Yesterday the Rutgers athletic department released a set of rosters for Saturday's alumni football game via their official Facebook page. The alumni game, deemed the "Believe Bowl", will immediately precede the annual Scarlet-White spring football game (featuring special guest Eric LeGrand on booth commentary live from ScarletKnights.com.) Admission to all campus events are free on Saturday, although all visitors are encouraged to donate to spinal cord research. The alumni squads will be captained by quarterbacks Ryan Hart and Mike Teel, featuring plenty of recent Schiano-era fan favorites like Papa Beckford and Pete Tverdov. Other Rutgers alumni currently playing in the NFL will be signing autographs but not participating in the action. One further interesting note is that current Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti will be taking time out of his busy schedule of plotting world domination to lace up as a blocking tight end for Team Teel. That's not something you expect to see every day. Please be advised that the official Rutgers Day bus schedule for Saturday has all shuttle buses traveling on Rt. 18. That led to some absolutely horrific traffic last year, so please remember to plan accordingly and leave yourself enough time to make the spring game. Sorry, but you will have to put down the bug cookies a little earlier this time... It should also be interesting to see if the students occupying Old Queens do anything to draw attention to themselves and their cause.
